Do you thrive on educating patients on exceptional oral health habits? The MPHD Lentz Dental Clinic is currently looking for a patient-oriented and motivated Dental Assistant to help us provide dental care for children. We serve TennCare patients and use a sliding fee scale for patients without insurance or other means to pay for services. We also provide preventive dental services to children in selected schools in Davidson County.

- Greet and assist patients with registration process and forms.
- Interview patients regarding dental problems and obtain medical and dental history.
- Take dental radiographs as needed.
- Assist dentist during examination and treatment (arrange lights, hold mirrors, supply proper instruments, mix solutions and materials, and provide other supplies as needed).
- Provide assistance in either the reception area or in treating rooms as needed.
- Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, and perform daily, weekly and monthly office duties.
- Provide patient education within the Lentz Dental Clinic, and throughout Davidson County as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform related clerical duties as needed, i.e. maintain patient files, and all other dental software used in office.
- Occasional travel within Davidson County.
High School Diploma or GED; One (1) year of experience as a Dental Assistant in an approved dental program. Registered by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry or certified by the American Dental Assistant Association in oral assistance and the taking and processing of x-rays.
Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply, however at the present time MPHD is not sponsoring individuals through any of the US Government’s employment-based immigration programs.

- Certification in coronal polishing, sealant placement, and nitrous oxide monitoring.
- Experience using the Eaglesoft dental management system.
