Ridgeway Dental is looking for a dental hygienist who will make a visit to our office the most pleasant experience possible for patients, while also helping the office run efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere. Excellent customer service and administrative skills along with fluency in current dental hygiene techniques are required. The dental hygienist should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and dental office regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or experienced hygienist to work alongside an outstanding team in a beautiful, new facility with the very best dental equipment available. Responsibilities

• Make patients feel welcome at Ridgeway Dental
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
• Capturing digital x-rays
• Sterilizing instruments according to regulations
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Skills

• Proven experience as a dental hygienist
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations required by OSHA
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma; licensed as a dental hygienist in the state of Iowa
• Additional certification or training is an asset
