Dental Lab Technician

The Dental Lab Technician is responsible for designing and fabricating dental restorations. The technician must be able to scan, design, and mill dental restorations. The candidate must support the dentists to deliver temporary and final dental restorations and be able to consult with the patients to achieve esthetic results. The Dental Lab Technician must have knowledge of 3Shape and be able to use CAD/CAM software.

To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work on a team with 8 doctors, reporting to the Practice Manager of Operations. You will work on a team with two dental ceramists and two lab technicians.

Minimum Requirements:

• Fabricate dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, veneers, implant crowns and full arch prosthesis, including dentures.
• Support dentists to deliver dental restorations properly.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Consult with patients to understand their problems and to achieve esthetic results.
• Understand hue and value of tooth color and have the ability to take proper shades to achieve natural results.
• Utilize Dental CAD/CAM software to design and mill all ceramic dental restorations.
• Understand and acknowledge the variety of dental materials to be able to select proper materials for each individual patient.
• Fabricate temporary dental restorations such as single implant crowns to full arch prosthesis.
• Perform dental photography to be able to communicate with doctors and patients.
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact with co-workers in a collegial manner to accomplish common tasks
• High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment
• 2 years of experience required
