JOB DESCRIPTION – Deputy Clinical Quality Assurance Manager – £30k-£35k

The Clinical Quality Assurance Deputy role supports and assists the Clinical Quality Assurance Manager which sits within the operations team; the successful candidate will ensure that they assist the safe and effective quality assurance of the clinical and administrative processes within an exciting and innovative virtual outpatient service.


RESPONSIBILITIES

The Clinical Quality Assurance Deputy role will involve assisting the management of the quality assurance of clinical and administrative processes within an exciting and innovative virtual outpatient service, including:

  • Assisting in developing measures to ensure that clinicians get adequate oversight of their advice and care.
  • Assisting in performing regular quality control tests on clinical and administrative functions across the organisation.
  • Ensuring appropriate investigations are requested by Medefer’s consultants and clinicians and processing those requests through Medefer’s platform or third-party.
  • Working within the Patient Care Team to communicate with GPs, registrars, consultants and patients to troubleshoot pathway issues and escalating to the Head of Operations any complex issues.
  • Ensuring that urgent patients (2WW’s) are processed according to agreed standards.
  • Working cross-functionally to assist in the implementation of new Clinical Standard Operating Procedures with the team.
  • Assisting in Co-ordinating clinical meetings that focus on Clinical Governance, clinical learning points, and the performance of the virtual healthcare service.
  • Working cross-functionally to coordinate the clinical and administrative agenda, chase actions, and ensure meeting minutes are distributed.
  • Identifying new risks, issues, and troubleshoot with virtual clinical pathways.
  • Reviewing and updating all processes, policies and procedures are in line with legislation and NHS guidance.
  • Taking active part in team meetings, regular reviews with line manager, etc.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and to adhere to the local and national Health and Safety regulations and Medefer’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Undertaking appropriate training, hands-on learning, and onboarding processes.
  • Building an understanding of all relevant Medefer and NHS systems to support the business.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Patient-centric world view.
  • Medical degree and have trained as a doctor up to the UK equivalent of Foundation Year 2.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • A love of healthcare and genuine interest in technology.
  • Administrative or clerical experience in varied health settings, including GP surgeries, hospitals, pharmacies.
  • Previous administrative work experience dealing with patients directly.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills.
  • A private and confidential space to work in at home when working remotely.

TERMS

  • This is a permanent full-time position being offered across the five day working week.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK. A DBS check will be required at the start of the role.
