Position: Medical Assistant

Pay: $18-23/hour DOE

Job Type: Full Time, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:

• High School or equivalent (Required)

• BLS Certification (Preferred)

• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Our dermatology practice is located in Kailua Kona, HI. Our mission is to provide high quality medical care in an environment where patients and staff feel respected and highly valued. Although we prefer Medical Assisting experience, it is not required. We are willing to train the right motivated individual as long as they have good time management skills, the ability to multitask with great attention to detail and above all have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patient for their exam by taking vitals and documenting basic medical history

• Assist the Providers and document all care during the patient’s appointment

• At the direction of the Provider, administer injections and remove sutures

• Call patients with laboratory and pathology reports

• Call in prescriptions

• Process referrals from Doctors and Insurance companies

• Prepare and clean exam rooms and medical instruments

• Other MA duties as assigned by the Providers
