Montefiore IT has a new position open for a talented Desktop Support Specialist to advocate in resolving customer requests/incidents and optimizing their desktop experience. The person in this role needs to have a broad base of knowledge including knowledge of desktop and laptop devices, peripherals including printers/scanners, knowledge of network connectivity, and experience working with mobile devices. The person in this role will participate in implementing a SecureChat function to our Epic EMR, so solid iOS knowledge is key. The right candidate has customer-facing experience in an enterprise environment and can communicate well with users at every level. The position requires travel among several Montefiore sites.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Maintain/optimize all computer equipment within assigned locations. Provide an accurate inventory of the area’s equipment.- Oversee issue resolution – including working with other departments within IT.
Research, resolve, and respond to highly complex challenges or problems in accordance with Desktop Support Guidelines.
Demonstrate an awareness of support issues as they apply on a company-wide and business basis.
Participate in rollouts and other team projects that enhance the quality or efficiency of support. Participate in training and certifications offered for supported products, applications, and technology.
Perform other related duties as required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Work experience in an enterprise IT environment- Strong customer service and communication skills
Desktop configuration/support
Dell and HP Desktop/Laptop hardware support- iOS and MAC configuration and support
- Printer and general peripheral support
- Network connectivity and troubleshooting
- Windows installation and support
- CA Service Manager, SCCM, Citrix, MS Office Suite, SharePoint, SEP
