Good Heart Recovery is a compassionate, down to earth, one-of-a-kind treatment team who provides outpatient mental health and substance use services to adults in the Santa Barbara and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking Detox Techs (no certification needed!) for our inpatient and sober living programs. Our programs serve individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. We are currently offering a $1200 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates!
Available shifts:
Day, Evening, Overnight available
Full-time and part-time
Specific job duties of the Alcohol/Drug Technician include:
- Observe and monitor client behavior and intervene based on schedule, individual client treatment plan, and facility needs
- Facilitate assigned groups, meetings, and activities and document observations and milieu interventions in client records and shift log during every shift and group
- Facilitate daily activities in a residential component, such as waking up clients, chore supervision, assisting with meal service, making coffee, and assisting with laundry
- Transport clients to airport, detox, appointments, hospital, doctor appointments, outside meetings, store runs, and recreational groups
- Conduct regular facility checks to ensure safety and security
- Complete new client admission paperwork and conduct orientation
- Provide milieu-based support and coaching
- Provide one-on-one supervision of at-risk clients
Education/experience requirements
- Experience in the field of alcohol and drug treatment.
- Experience in individual and group counseling.
- Knowledge of self-help groups (i.e. AA, NA, CA, etc.)
- RADT, CADC, LAADC, RAC, or equivalent a plus
