Development and Communications Associate

We are Leap to Success, a growing women’s empowerment organization that provides empowerment and leadership programs to women who are rebuilding their lives from homelessness, domestic violence, and other challenges.
We are looking for a Development and Communications Associate who will work directly with our Executive Director and provide support to maintain a professional and inspiring atmosphere through all interactions with donors, volunteers, staff, board members, program participants and the public.
Your talents and experience include:
- Understanding the fundraising function in a non-profit organization
- Administrative support functions – maintaining records, database entries, developing reports
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills for donor communications
- Being up to date with social media platforms and trends
- Great organizational and planning skills
- Working well independently and on a team with others
- Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner

You want to help the organization to grow by these activities:
- Writing inspirational articles and content for social media and newsletter
- Creating visual content for social media platforms
- Helping implement and run fundraising campaigns online and in person
- Crafting donor letters for email and mail communications
- Supporting fundraising and other special events with planning activities and logistics, setup, and cleanup
Qualifications
- Experience in an office environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Publisher, Excel) & Google Docs, Sheets & Drive
- Internet proficiency including e-newsletter technology Constant Contact or Mail Chimp
- Social media experience – Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube
- Database or CRM, Donor Mgmt. System knowledge and experience
- College graduate is preferred or equivalent experience
- Qualities and skills that will be essential for this role include:

- Professional demeanor in person and on the telephone
