Basic Purpose
Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of robust and scalable test automation solutions within a DevOps and CICD environment to improve the quality of functional, regression, and system tests
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers, developers, and cloud engineers to plan, design, and develop test automation in support of DevOps and Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipelines
- Apply engineering principles into the design and enhancement of new and existing systems
- Document new system components, or modifications to existing components
- Ensure the security and integrity of system and product solutions including compliance with Navy Federal, industry engineering and Information Security principles and practices
- Provide technical expertise in the architecture discipline and development of information technology solutions
- Develop and maintain reusable components, functions, and libraries to reduce maintenance and increase efficiency and scalability
- Present clear, organized and concise information to all audiences through a variety of media to enable effective business decisions
- Perform other related duties as assigned or appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience
- Experience implementing cloud native test automation tools and defining frameworks and methods that increase efficiency and reduce Data Center footprint
- Experience designing and migrating non-cloud test automation to cloud based CICD pipeline solutions in Azure DevOps or AWS
- Strong experience with agile methodologies
- Knowledge of and adherence to change control standards and procedures
- Experience in streamlining continuous test processes that improve product delivery
- Strong development skills in core Java concepts and Selenium Test Automation Framework development
- Exposure to Selenium Grid
- Exposure to TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber and Gherkin
- Exposure to XPath
- Experience developing scripts to perform comprehensive automated testing on multiple platforms including web based, client server and mainframe
- Exposure to developing test automation for SOA Services and SOAP/REST APIs
- Exposure to Azure Repos, GitHub, Bitbucket or other software repositories
- Exposure to continuous testing to support CICD pipelines with tools such as Azure Pipelines, Jenkins or Bamboo
- Working knowledge of dependency management and build tools such as Maven
- Familiarity with keyword, data driven and behavior-driven test automation development
- Exposure to test management tools such as Azure Test Plans, Jira, Micro Focus ALM/Octane
- Ability to adhere to Software Engineering disciplines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Octane DevOps interfaces
- Experience with UFT API web service testing
- Understanding of Test Automation tools and frameworks that facilitate Test Driven Development (TDD)

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.
Salary Range: $85,500 - $146,300 annually
Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.
