UPMC Williamsport is seeking a full-time Diagnostic Technologist/Diagnostic Technologist Advanced to support imaging services for Pain Management on the Divine Campus! May also cover imaging services in Lock Haven and Lewisburg. This role will work Monday through Friday, between 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based his/her individual experience, education, and certifications.

Diagnostic Technologist (C12) Salary Range: $27.84 - $42.33

Diagnostic Technologic, Adv (C13): Salary Range: $29.52 - $45.03

Qualified Diagnostic Technologists are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus! A two-year work commitment is required.

Performs imaging procedures at an advanced level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs various advanced technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs or assists Clinical Specialists in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives.
  • Performs all job responsibilities of Diagnostic Tech I.
  • Demonstrates competency in specialty equipment (O.R., Fluoro Procedures, etc.) and analyzes data promptly. Performs electrocardiograms and lab draw functions if applicable.
  • Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates an advanced level of knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging by providing patient care as defined by the most up-to-day protocols and procedures.
  • Demonstrates the ability to function independently, and is able to cover off shifts, on-call responsibilities, and perform services at satellite facilities, where applicable, while continually communicating with the lead and management team.
  • Participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups.
  • Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development.
  • Assist with the training of staff and student technologists.

Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology. 2 years of Diagnostic experience required. Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on the most recent performance review to be eligible for the promotion.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified in Radiography. CPR or BLS Required. CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
