Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Diesel Mechanic w/ Material Handling Equipment Experience in Renton, WA! The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for timely repair and maintenance of light - heavy duty fleet vehicles, trailers, and various equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation. This position is multi-functional. The majority of the work will be on Forklifts, Crown stand up lifts, and Big Joe walk behind lifts. Strong knowledge of the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of these three types of units. The mechanic position also requires a high level of proficiency and working knowledge related to diesel engine diagnostics, brakes, tires, AC, and PM services.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay: $40 - $55 - Paid weekly, every Friday! We pay well above the estimated salary shown by job boards including Indeed. Interview & offer the same day. Benefits are chosen on the 7th working day plus ask your recruiter for our sign-on bonus.

Shift: Monday- Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm. No weekends!

What the Diesel Mechanic/Technician role looks like:

• At least 5 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school.
• Experience servicing and repairing CAT equipment, generators, aerials, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment – highly desired.
• Experience with Peterbilt, Kenworth, Ford, Chevy Linde, Hyster assets preferred.
• ASE Certifications preferred.
• Commercial Driver’s License Class - A (Preferred)
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly.
• Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.
• Knowledge of handheld scan tools and the process of diagnosing vehicles.
• Ability to read schematics and familiarity with process.
