The dietary cook plays a vital role in the daily functionality of the entire community. The cook is responsible for properly preparing meals in accordance with the recipes and planned menus under direction from the Director of Culinary Arts. Food is central to our community and diet is crucial to residents' recovery. Quality, tasty, healthy, well presented food is central to our residents' satisfaction. A love of seniors and an attitude to provide excellent customer service are required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
• Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
• Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Ability to walk, stand, or stoop for extended periods of time
• Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy objects such as carts or furniture.
• Ability to pass criminal background screening
