As part of our External Communications team pioneering the story of Rolls-Royce’s lead in the transition to net zero carbon, your role will be to help inspire global audiences and enhance our reputation as an industrial technology leader.
This exciting position will give you the chance to grow your communications career by joining as a core member of our global community. Your main role will be supporting our digital communications team, helping develop engaging content as well as managing the corporate drumbeat across our digital channels. Part of the role will also require you to work alongside with our Global Brand Team, helping with the ongoing refresh of our brand’s visual identity.

The working pattern is remote, requisite to go to the office in London when required for team meetings.
What you will be doing:
A key member of a global external communication team providing support across all aspects of digital activity, including social channels, website content, corporate social content and corporate marketing campaigns.- Support the production of Group external communications content. This will include sourcing, writing, initial editing and designing of social media posts and assets.
- Working with copywriters and content agencies to produce copy and assets to be used on the website and social media posts.
- Support the collation of the social media content calendar by working with internal stakeholders across the organisation to ensure each area of the business is represented on social media through the posts on our channels. This will include holding regular meetings with stakeholders to understand their marketing priorities, and the types of content they need to support those priorities.
- Be responsible for scheduling and posting social media content on all of our channels either directly or through our scheduling tools.
- Monitor questions and comments that come through on our channels, as appropriate. Feeding back to Head of Content and Head of Channels & Measurement on any potential issues.
- Deliver measurement, insights and impact reporting – including quantitative performance of our communications, and qualitative feedback from our audiences.
- Be responsible for website content creation, editing and maintenance through our content management system. Work with our agency to support colleagues across the company to keep their content up to date.
- Support global brand activities by maintaining and improving internal communication channels, driving better employee engagement with the brand guidelines and tools. Work with the brand team to further develop assets that underpin the brand strategy and vision.
- Additional activity as required to support the effective delivery of team activity and events.

Passionate about good communication and the potential of digital communications to engage and inspire our audiences, driving brand awareness and ROI.- A strong planner, with good attention to detail as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to use initiative, self-motivate and manage own workload and priorities.
- Able to work effectively solo as well as part of a virtual or physical team.
- Confident in providing guidance and advice on areas of expertise to members of the Group External Communications team and wider External Communications community across all levels of the organisation.
- Proficient in core Microsoft products as well as the ability to use online scheduling and reporting tools.
- Graphic design capability with a working knowledge of design packages such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere would be beneficial.
