Digital Product Manager- Inside IR35
Contract Term: 3 Months
Contracting Authority: Cabinet Office
Location: Remote
You will be part of the new Automation Centre of Excellence, working alongside your team to upskill staff in business process automation, build a reusable knowledge base and a community to support each other.
We are interested in building our capability in automation, rather than being tool-specific, so broad experience is essential. Our approach, using no/low code development will help us to quickly adapt our applications with new requirements, user needs and business changes.
As a Digital Product Manager, you will be responsible for-
- Finding creative and practical ways to automate Cabinet Office business processes, making sure they meet user needs
- Working with the automation team to deliver products and iteratively improving them through several cycles
- Working alongside technical architects to define, explain and iterate a product vision that is compelling to your users, team and stakeholders
- Developing and prioritising product backlogs, writing good user stories and making decisions based on evidence
- Engaging with users and stakeholders through a range of channels to encourage take-up and use of your products
- Setting measurable goals for your products and reporting against these to demonstrate progress against stated benefits

This role will work on the automation of internal business processes, so experience in process improvement would be highly beneficial. We are designing and developing new applications using no/low-code tools (Salesforce, Google Workspace, Zapier, and other integration tools)
Have proven experience in business process automation and business architecture- Have excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills that you are able to tailor to the needs of the audience
- Have experience of developing and releasing digital products with proficiency in agile product management techniques, such as user story writing, MVP definition and backlog prioritisation
- Have the ability to work with and influence senior stakeholders and process owners within the business - getting buy in, ensuring they are involved in delivery and working towards shared goals
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity of the public sector and government processes
- Experience of writing or inputting into business cases with the ability to communicate business-value propositions
