The Retirement Unlimited is a premier Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care Community in Alexandria is seeking a Dining Room Manager at the Elance at West End.

The Dining Room Manager supervises the dining room staff which may include, servers, baristas, and bartenders in proper service of residents during all meal periods. Assigns and coordinates duties of dining room staff and creates schedules for dining staff. Maintains cleanliness of dining room and directs staff in the overall effective and efficient operation of the dining room.

• Develops and maintains a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position, the department, and the personnel.
• Oversees the cleanliness, preparation, training and staffing of the dining room.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to residents.
• Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners.
• Greet guests, escort them to tables, and provide menus.
• Assures comment cards are accessible to residents and guests at all meals. Collects customer satisfaction cards, addresses questions/concerns and reviews comments with the Executive Chef or Executive Director.
• Expedite food orders in a timely fashion.
• Assign work tasks and coordinate activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service.
• Inspect dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness.
• Coordinate with the Life Enrichment Director to ensure that centerpieces for dining room tables are seasonal and holiday appropriate.
