Purpose: We are looking for punctual candidates with good time management skills and record of safe driving, for the position of Direct Care Professional - Driver for the Clients we serve. DCP-Drivers are responsible for delivering Clients to their appointments in a timely manner, and ensuring that vehicles are always ready for use, among other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Providing transportation to medical appointments, and errands, for clients.
• Carrying out vehicle maintenance checks.
• Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs.
• Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal route.
• Interacting with clients in professional conduct.
• Maintaining an organized travel schedule.
• Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
• Reporting need for vehicle repairs as necessary.
• Updating monthly mileage records.
• Providing safety and supervision for adults with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas driver's license or the ability to obtain before the first day of employment
• 1-year driving experience.
• Knowledge of the Austin area.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal communication.
• Proficiency using GPS devices.
• Clean criminal history
• Clean driving record
