We are presently searching for two (2) Direct Support Professionals to support Jeremy at Jeremy's Vision (Jeremysvision.com). You would be joining a wonderful team of people that support Jeremy 24 hours a day.
Job Type: This role is Part-time (25 - 35 hours per week).
Compensation: Starting Pay Range is $20 to $23 per hour.

Who is Jeremy?
Jeremy Sicile-Kira is an amazing and successful artist and writer. He has a thriving art career (studio in Carmel Valley) and is interested in developing friendships, exercise, nature outings, eating out, learning to cook healthy meals, and becoming more self-sufficient. He is autistic and has apraxia (motor planning challenges) and sensory processing challenges that make life more complicated. He communicates via assistive technology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Treat me and team members in a positive way and always be professional (on-time, positive attitude, respectful, proactive).
- Communicate effectively and professionally with me, my family, and the support team.
- Help me track my progress on my self-determined goals.
- Assist me in and from community activities.
- Help support me in fostering positive relationships between me and others.
- Ensure my safety both at home and in the community.
- Help me to document and report any changes in my health status or condition.
- Personal care involved, including assisting with personal hygiene, toileting, bathing, and grooming.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Availability Needed:
Please note there is some flexibility within these time ranges:
- Monday 12:30 pm– 8:00pm.
- Tuesday 2:00 pm – 8:00pm.
- Friday 2:00pm - 8:00pm.
- Friday 8:00pm to 8:00 am.
- Saturday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- Saturday: 4:00pm to 10:00am
- Sunday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor degree or relevant college coursework and 1 to 2 years experience, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience to perform the job successfully.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English through oral and written skills with me, my family members, and the public.
- Ability to use the following technology: iPad, email, text messaging, Facebook, Instagram, Google Drive, Basecamp, Zoom.
- Ability to multi-task and accept challenges.
- Ability to maintain a schedule totaling approximately 25 hours per week, including weekends.
- Reliable access to a car for every work shift and maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards, have and maintain proper auto insurance and vehicle registration. Mileage reimbursed when I’m in the car.
- Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background checks, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- The COVID-19 vaccine is a requirement for this position.
