About the Department
Alumni Relations & Development (ARD) engages alumni (~190k), current students, parents and friends of the University through intellectual, professional and social activities on campus, around the world and online. ARD raises $550 Million annually to support faculty and researchers, practitioners and patients, and students and programs across the University. Our work supports priorities in every division, school, department, and institute.
The Analytics and Technology Solutions (ATS) team provides technology and system solutions to enable ARD to meet aggressive fundraising goals and measure, analyze and predict growth in constituency giving and participation. Using an enterprise approach to data and systems, ATS creates a data and user environment that is consistent yet agile. Collaborating with stakeholders to understand program strategies, ATS develops data, reporting, and analytics solutions that lead to actionable outcomes and actualized goals.
This position has a hybrid work schedule which includes weekly in office presence located in Hyde Park at 5235 South Harper Court.
Job Summary
The job may manage multiple related teams of managers and/or professional staff responsible for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems. Reviews new applications and IT developments to determine integration opportunities given evolving business and system requirements. Oversees the planning, development, and implementation of appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
Responsibilities

Oversee support team for UChicago ARD’s Phoenix Salesforce ecosystem which includes CRM, Experience Cloud, Tableau CRM, and UC Innovation ascend managed package.

Build relationships with other ARD managers and IT Leaders across UChicago, understanding their key challenges and adapting the Phoenix system product roadmap to business requirements.

Oversee the evaluation, integration, and configuration of third-party software and AppExchange products with Salesforce including Conga, RealZips, Ascendix, Aquirit, among others.

Drives ongoing improvements in the Salesforce ecosystem by monitoring and researching new Salesforce functionality and features.

Seeks opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance, including building networks within the University and with colleagues at peer institutions and with an eye towards broadly diversifying the advancement profession.

Manages managers and professional staff. Establishes performance goals, allocates resources and assesses policies for direct subordinates.

Collaborates with IT leadership to develop the strategy, plan communications, and service responsibilities for business systems.

Perform other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:

Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Major in computer science, statistics, business, or similar major.
Experience:

Minimum seven years of professional work experience in software product management or system administration.

Experience leading a project team or managing staff.

Experience developing and monitoring budgets.
Licenses and Certifications:

Salesforce Administrator certification highly desired.
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
-
Demonstrated skill and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, the internal workings of the University as well as the technology tools available to the Office of Alumni Relations and Development, including the University's Phoenix system and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Broad experience using Salesforce in an administrative capacity.

Thorough understanding of key end to end ARD business processes with extensive knowledge of best practices in CRM.

Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
