Insurable Risk Management
The Director will report to the head of the Corporate Risk and Insurance and would be part of supporting the enterprise and affiliates on their day-to-day insurance needs. This job implements strategy to align with the and the strategic goals of the Department. The position must have a passion for client service, while being able to work dynamically with a team that supports a growing and evolving portfolio. The position requires prior insurance experience.

Base Pay Range: $145,700/yr. - $242,800/yr.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Supports insurance company relationships and proposes new relationships for consideration by the Head of Corporate Risk and Insurance Management.
Where appropriate, employs analytics in the benchmarking of costs, retentions, appropriate limits of liability as well as the claims process and other decision-making processes.
Manages and develops junior staff.
Where appropriate, employs analytics in the benchmarking of costs, retentions, appropriate limits of liability as well as the claims process and other decision-making processes.
Manages reps. and warranty placements for M&A transactions.
Assists with management of Captive Insurance Company.
Oversees preparation of submission materials for insurance renewals.
Manages all compliance reporting, audits, and exams.
Negotiate contracts and insurance coverage to optimize risk transfer and ensure compliance.
Implements the Risk Management Strategy in line with TIAA’s Corporate Strategy.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Property and Causality Insurance experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of Property and Causality Insurance experience
- Bachelor’s Degree ideally in Legal or Business studies
- Ability to balance multiple and diverse priorities with time-sensitive deadlines while delivering a quality product.
- Excellent verbal communications skills and a personable approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
