Job Description:
Job Summary

Provide technical, functional, and strategic Leadership for Cybersecurity related initiatives across the Cybersecurity Defense domain. Apply business acumen to all components of the planning process at a department level. Oversee Cybersecurity projects and operations across functions to ensure technical and functional solutions are resilient, well integrated, comply with technical strategy, and meet or exceed Department requirements. Represent VP or CISO in meetings/decision-making processes. Responsible for delivery of new services service enhancement, as well as maintenance of existing services. Responsible for monitoring and responding to Cybersecurity incidents, Cybersecurity Engineering incidents, threats, risk and vulnerabilities. Also responsible for Cybersecurity governance, compliance, Technology data privacy, and Cybersecurity for the aircraft and connected technologies.

Responsibilities

Create, lead, support, and influence the achievement of the mission, goals and objectives of the department and organization

Oversee organizational issues, maintain an enterprise/industry perspective, and make appropriate decisions/trade-offs as required

Assist internal and external Customers with establishing enterprise security strategies and facilitate solutions

Identify and influence business process change, definition, refinement, and execution in support of best business practices

Extend delivery capability of Department through negotiating and leveraging outside consultants, vendor relationships, offering to extend delivery capability of Department

Establish and maintain operations and strategic plans for systems and technology implementations: ensure ongoing stability of systems consistent with defined organizational objectives and strategic direction

Develop and manage information security budgets and monitor them for variances

Assist in leading a risk-based process for vendor risk management, including the assessment and treatment for risks that may result from partners, consultants and other service providers

Assist in leading a risk-based process for Cybersecurity risk management, including maintenance of risk registers and recommendations as to risk mitigation priorities

Work with executive leadership to determine acceptable levels of risk for the organization

Deliver and facilitate solid systems solutions in support of business processes and across technical and business Customers

Liaise with Partners and external agencies and other advisory bodies as necessary, to ensure that the organization maintains a strong security posture

Acquire and manage the necessary resources, including leadership support, financial resources, and key Cybersecurity personnel to support Technology security goals and objectives and reduce overall Cyber organizational risk

Develop policy, plans, and strategy in compliance with appropriate regulations, policies, and standards in support of organizational Cyber activities

May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced knowledge of management/Leadership principals, personnel practices, and regulations

Advanced knowledge of technology and Cybersecurity practices, concepts, methodology, and trends

Advanced knowledge of business acumen including understanding product strategy across market segments

Advanced knowledge of business to assess impact of applied technology on Customer’s business processes

Knowledge and interpretation of relevant regulatory requirements, such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), and other various Federal Aviation regulatory requirements

Advance level knowledge and experience of Threat Intelligence and Incident Response

Understanding of the impacts of a critical threat or incident to business functions and outcomes

Skilled in excellent partnering, negotiation and communication in order to facilitate interactions with business Customers and technical support

Ability to implement strategic direction and influence at the Department Level

Ability to effectively lead larger, more complex Teams to accomplish goals/objectives

Ability to manage multiple project Teams and stakeholder expectations while delivering quality projects on time and within budget

Ability to develop, continuously evolve and move forward a sound strategic vision for the Department

Ability to prioritize problems and solutions at a department/enterprise level and provide effective follow-up and communication when problems occur

Ability to apply critical reading/thinking skills

Ability to exercise judgment when policies are not well-defined
Education

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Required: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent formal training

Experience

Demonstrated experience leading multiple teams or functions through subordinate Leaders

Advanced level Business Acumen in functional area with understanding of broad business impacts

Preferred: Leadership and Experience in Threat Intelligence and Incident Response

Expansive and far reaching knowledge in:
A Cybersecurity, Business and / or Information Technology environment, related to Departmental functions, including managerial/leadership experience.

Directing multiple large applications, operations, and engineering development efforts

Multiple technologies or business areas and broad business/system expertise

Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities

Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time

Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Other Qualifications

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines

Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information

Air travel with frequent overnight stays required

Ability to work extended hours as needed

Competitive market salary from $189,950 per year to $227,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
