Maryland Oncology Hematology is looking for a Director of Marketing and Practice Growth to share our story with patients and referring providers throughout our community.
The ideal candidate for director is a collaborative and dynamic professional who can deploy successful marketing campaigns and develop marketing strategies using internal and external data to achieve the practice's goals for annual and long-term growth. The director will also be responsible for assessing the impact of marketing and sales activities, guiding sales planning, and recommending alternative business solutions. They must combine judgment, extensive experience, and business knowledge to make sound decisions.
The director oversees a marketing of the practice, as well as a team of oncology liaisons responsible for building relationships with referring physicians. In this supervisory capacity, the director provides direction on sales planning, analysis, and targeting and development of territories . In addition, candidates should have creative project management experience, convey an aptitude for staying calm and effective while managing multiple demands, and have experience working in fast-paced and matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and implements a cohesive practice brand identity for all mediums, including print, TV, radio, and digital. Responsible for the ongoing management of the practices brand identity including the education of vendors, employees, and the community.
- Directs the production of all printed marketing collateral, signage, videos, website, social channels, and other digital assets. Liaises with copywriters, content owners, customers, and outside vendors to manage projects, including administrative responsibilities (such as approvals and budgets) required to complete the project.
- Responsible for executing media requests including drafting public relations materials, coordinating interview requests and responses, and serving as practice spokesperson.
- Masterfully uses organizational knowledge to maneuver through formal and informal channels to get things done quickly and effectively. Develops and manages internal and external relationships in order to facilitate work and achieve business goals. Builds relationships with corporate marketing department in order to facilitate work and fully utilize corporate resources.
- Writes requests for proposals, sources for vendors, and negotiates contracts within budgets to achieve business results.
- Works closely with corporate practice growth team on hiring, training assessments, and development of liaisons. Enforces adherence to The US Oncology Network policies.
- Supervises the liaisons in their role, including, but not limited to: sales planning, analysis, targeting, reporting, and development of their territories. Ensures referral feedback/issues are addressed appropriately.
- Assesses and reviews performance of liaisons through regular impact performance reports (both financial and metric based).
- Coaches and develops staff, coordinating training and professional development.
- Develops and implements practice growth strategy in core markets and continually evaluates staffing requirements to align with strategy; partners with practice marketing to develop selling approach in each market .
- Utilizes CRM, market analysis, trends, and performance reporting to develop sales plans and track practice growth.
- Supports growth efforts through community events, tradeshows, and cross-business collaboration.
- Executes administrative duties, including managing budget, travel expenses, and timely completion of expense reports
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Strategic thinker who understands how to drive profitable growth
- Skilled decision maker with strong emphasis on data, trends, and market analytics; proficient with CRM and business intelligence reporting, preferably Salesforce and Tableau
- Creative project management and team experience required
- Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work with a wide range of individuals, particularly physicians; conflict management and resolution skills
- Experience developing and executing marketing strategies to achieve annual and long-term growth
- Experience with Salesforce and Tableau preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point)
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. MBA preferred, but not required.
- Minimum twelve (12) years of marketing and/or sales experience, preferably in a HealthCare environment, with at least 5 years at a management level.
- Extensive corporate or healthcare marketing work experience with progressively more responsibility required. Knowledge of production environment, including printing, advertising, social channels, and video.
- Experience working in a creative team environment and creative project management experience required.
