Muskegon Public Schools is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Bands. The successful candidate will manage the overall band program, including marching band for the district.
Muskegon Public Schools (MPS), a diverse, urban school district with an enrollment of approximately 3,300 students, has a rich history in music and culture. MPS expects the interview process to begin mid-May and anticipates two panels providing input in the hiring process. One panel will be composed of professional staff. The second panel will include student, parent and community representation.
Salary:
Commensurate with credentials and level of experience and in accordance with MPS salary
schedule. Starting salary $47,909-$69,752. This position also receives competitive supplemental
contract(s) for requirements outside of the regular work day.

Eligible for Michigan ORS retirement plan for public school employees.
Paid time off includes ten (10) sick leave days, three (3) personal days, and two (2) professional
development days.
