PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Responsible for supporting the strategic vision and growth for the Kidney Care Advocate Program in a specified division. Provides the necessary direction and guidance to ensure effective and successful program implementation through the supervision of Kidney Care Managers and Advocates. Collaborates with management to establish short- and long-term goals for the program ensuring these are aligned with the goals and objectives of Fresenius Kidney Care.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs and oversees activities related to Kidney Care Advocate (KCA) programs in a specified division; including collaborating with GMs, GVPOs, RVPs, and Directors of Market Development, as well as, supporting long and short-term goals and objectives and developing strategies to achieve these that the group level.
- Oversees various levels of Kidney Care staff in a division and achieving overall growth targets set forth by the divisions.
- Oversees the KCA’s education of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients. Works to develop strategies and action plans to grow KCA focusing on potential Pre-ESRD programs and initiatives.
- Evaluates the referral process on an ongoing basis making improvements and adjustments as needed and reports out monthly/quarterly to the RVPs/GVPOs and GM’s as well as VP of KCA.
- Collaborates with select hospital partners in the field as needed.
- Implements marketing and communication initiatives for KCA’s within the division.
- Measures, tracks and reports on KCA growth on a monthly basis and reports out regionally and by group on growth goals.
- Regularly reviews progress and opportunities for KCA services with the appropriate management and personnel.
- Provides education and orientation of new KCA leaders on monthly basis providing program launch packages of material customized to level of the leader.
- Designs and delivers training programs to Kidney Care Advocates.
- Has significant project and process responsibility, including identifying and leading implementation of required tools and materials for training, instructional design, and training development.
- Develops user manuals, online documentation and other knowledge on services and products as needed.
- Leads design of web-based courses, documentation and on-demand recorded sessions for internal training.
- Analyzes course evaluations to define the development needs of the end users and improve training plans.
- Creates a positive and memorable training experience for end users.
- Helps the organization improve overall performance/effectiveness/communication management by developing staff learning opportunities.
- Participates as necessary in group/divisional strategic business reviews as requested.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Divisional and regional travel up 30-40% which includes regional/divisional and some national travel.
SUPERVISION:
- Responsible for the direct supervision of various levels of Kidney Care Advocate staff.
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- 6-8 years’ related experience.
- 2-4 years’ experience as a Manager.
- Experienced in healthcare education and physician practices.
- Prior experience driving referrals with physicians
- Prefer 2-5 years dialysis experience with at least 2 years in a leadership, education, or supervisory/management role.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written and demonstrated good presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills
- Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize appropriately.
- Good computer skills – including Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.) and understanding of Salesforce CRM.
