About this role:
SDI's Data Products & Insights COE has a core mission to empower business users to unlock the power of data, create new opportunities for innovation, and turn insights into competitive advantage. We are building an end-to-end data product suite to meet the needs of leaders, our cross-functional partners, and members of the AI community across the bank.
We are looking for an analytical, strategic, impact-driven leader as our Director of Data as a Service (DaaS) & Insights, reporting directly to our Head of Innovation Data Products and Insights. The Director of DaaS & Insights is a new position that will play a critical role in supporting the Innovation team in developing a unified Data vision for the company and leading strategic cross-enterprise Data & Insights initiatives. This leader will also provide analytical leadership around utilization of core data assets and products.
In this role, you will:
Pay Range for New York, New York: $207,900 - $431,900 annually
May be considered for a discretionary bonus.

In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop two or more specialized teams of managers and digital professional individual contributors with focus on supporting the development and execution of digital strategy within a large business line or functional area for cross-functional stakeholders and internal partners associated with the function or affected by its outcomes
- Identify opportunities and strategies for programs and initiatives with impact across the business line and may have enterprise-wide impact
- Lead the team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables like content strategy/creation, customer experience, analytics/research or product management
- Interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for functions with moderate to higher complexity and risk
- Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior leadership
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in aligned department or business group
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- 8+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management experience
- 4+ years of experience managing Analytics, Business Intelligence and/or Data Science teams
- 3+ years of Commercial and Corporate Investment Bank industry knowledge and expertise
- Proven leadership skills including relationship building, change leadership, partnering and collaboration skills with clear ability to influence, gain buy-in and negotiate with a diverse group of key business partners/leaders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior management and ability to articulate key messages around risk, issues, customer impacts, etc. in a straightforward and understandable manner
- Ability to energize and motivate others; thrives in teams; highly inclusive and collaborative with proven ability to lead through influence vs. authority
- Proven success achieving objectives requiring a high level of cooperation from other parts of the organization to collaborate, initiate action planning, manage change, as well as make high impact decisions that advance the progress of the organization
- Excellent problem solving and analytic capabilities utilized to identify improvement opportunities, as well as creating approaches/programs to address those issues
- Strategic mindset with strong industry awareness, preferably in the payments domain.
- Effective people leader with proven experience building, leading, and engaging high-performing, diverse, and inclusive teams.
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
- Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- Role is not eligible for 100% remote. Candidates must be willing to working onsite. Location preference is San Francisco, CA.
- Travel anywhere between 10-20%
