Job Description:
This role requires an individual who is a talented, digital marketing expert with a strong acumen for running programs from strategy to execution by leveraging partners. You manage dynamic tasks, diverse marketing projects with ease and strategic skill. The Director, Digital Marketing needs to be a digital marketing expert with deep experience in the rapidly evolving digital marketing space with an emphasis on website, eCommerce, MarTech, paid and owned channels. The role requires strong experience in improving the digital customer journey along with running programs from inception to execution, gleaning insights from performance tracking and reporting. You are skilled at collaborating with cross-functional partners across all business teams in addition to direct oversight of Springboard’s Digital Agency of Record + key vendor partnerships to maximize performance.

ONGOING + EVERYDAY TASKS
- Enterprise + Team: Lead on Springboard and its properties digital marketing ecosystem + strategies. Manage a growing team that oversees paid and owned channels including website, email, social media and paid media.
- Digital Marketing Strategy & Execution: In conjunction with Field Marketing, consult on strategic digital marketing plans to drive revenue for the Springboard portfolio in accordance with annual business plans, in which you drive all aspects of the marketing funnel including awareness, trial, retention, and ongoing relationship management. Own the digital booking journey driving prospective guests into the booking engine and finding ways to optimize that experience. Manage strategic planning and management of Springboard’s paid and owned channels to meet identified business goals. Participate in the execution of all web, SEO/SEM, social media, and programmatic advertising campaigns to drive qualified traffic and conversion within the booking engine. Participate (or oversee as assigned) in creating revenue-generating promotions + campaigns for Springboard and properties to address specific business segments and need periods for the portfolio; ensure success in various channels (website, digital media, etc.). Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns, evaluates against goals (ROI and KPIs) and interprets data into actionable next steps to improve and optimize channel performance.
- Website Management: Manage, own and audit for a healthy web presence across all Springboard and property websites. This includes regular maintenance, oversight of Springboard’s web development agencies, leading all website rebuilds and new builds, oversight of hosting platform and any other tasks related to core web vitals. Domain management, research and acquisition.
- MarTech EcoSystem: oversight of all marketing technology plus exploration, testing and implementation of new tools that further the marketing strategy and improve performance. May require partnership with VP, Strategic Initiatives.
- Pre-opening support: In partnership with Director, Field Marketing, support digital marketing needs for new openings/transitions/acquisitions, owning the scheduling, implementation, and onboarding of third-party platforms, in addition to executing go-to-market plans. Oversee pre-opening tech including guest welcome screens, WiFi splash pages and pre-opening websites.
- Paid digital media + SEO: Strategy and execution. Oversight of Springboard’s Digital Agencies of Record, including reporting + analytics, paid digital media, and listings management and will continually partner to leverage insights to support achieving annual goals. Manages paid meta efforts to maximum return while ensuring optimal support towards our direct booking strategy. Oversight of Springboard’s portfolio listing best practices to maintain relevant brand presence and reputation management.
- Develop innovative ideas and present final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets performance for learnings that can be applied to how we evolve our approach.

Job Requirements
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive digital marketing experience; including producing cross-functional marketing campaigns that drive traffic and increase leads.
- Minimum of three (3) years within in a regional and/or home office capacity in supporting multiple locations
- Achieved a bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, or ten (10) relevant years of experience.
- Experience in partnering with upper-upscale, independent, boutique or lifestyle hotels (preferred)
- Proven experience with B2C and B2B marketing
- Proficiency with digital marketing, display advertising and social media strategy.
- Demonstrated project management experience in managing multiple projects.
- Proven results in driving business results via content and email marketing
- Ability to adapt interpersonal skills and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to provide meticulous attention to detail and organization.
- Able to put your client the customer first in all strategies, plans and campaigns.
- Strong Management and leadership skills
- Operates with a sense of urgency and discipline.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bending and stooping.
- Repetitive hand motion (typing) for extended periods of time.
OTHER EXPECTATIONS:
- Abide by payroll policies, procedures and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
- Travel required: 10% or less. As needed for hotel familiarization and to meet with colleagues.
- Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (PST), while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
