Job Description

A key role in the leadership team responsible for the overall strategy and development of the Signature Solar finance and accounting department.

A successful candidate must be able to:

• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.

• Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.

• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

• Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax returns.

• Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.

• Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.

• Provides financial analysis emphasizing capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

• Leads, develops, and implements strategic and tactical initiatives to optimize inventory and assets management and improve business profitability and cashflows in a sustainable manner

• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of proven experience as a Finance Director for a medium or large-sized organization

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience and knowledge considered
