Director of Human Resources
Job description
Working in accordance with the established mission, policies, and procedures, the Human Resources Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering the personnel activities for the Community including screening, interviewing, and training all exempt and non- exempt employees.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the organizations training programs and recommends areas of improvement.
- Reviews training needs modifies or improves existing programs or develops new training programs to meet those needs.
- Through collaboration with management, identifies anticipated training needs based on human resource initiatives, legal and regulatory changes, career development needs, and other factors.
- Organizes and conducts orientation sessions and coordinates on-the-job training for new and transferred employees.
- Uses classroom training and demonstration methods, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops to plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs.
- Coordinates or performs compliance training and personal development classes for staff members.
- Conducts training for instructors and supervisors on techniques and skills to manage and teach their employees.
- Coordinates and assigns mandatory training across the organization.
- Creates, further develops, and organizes educational materials such as manuals and multimedia visual aids.
- Creates and/or administers post-training evaluations, tests, and assessments.
- Provides guidance on the organizations training requirements and responsibilities including required compensation and accommodations under federal and state employment laws including Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and other employment, health, or safety statutes and programs.
- Prepares and implements training budget.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Duties:
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Instructional Design, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least three years of related experience required.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal labor regulations, personnel administration, employee relations, compensation, and benefits administration, recruiting and selection, and training and development.
- Many roles in the community may require that we ask about your vaccination status. This could include MMR, chicken pox, hepatitis, flu, and COVID-19 vaccine status. Please note that all employees are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or apply for and receive an approved exemption, as a condition of employment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to move throughout the building and grounds as needed throughout the day; must be able to lift to 30 lbs. Good visual and hearing acuity required; good verbal communication skills required. Must be able to speak English. May be exposed to communicable diseases, and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV and/or HBV. May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and offensive odors.

Salary: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
