Kalahari Manufacturing is a division of Kalahari Resorts & Conventions which acts as our theming company. The “Kalahari Theme Shop” - located next to our corporate headquarters in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin - is key to our success and what helps our brand stand out. Our 20,000 square foot complex houses a plethora of modern technology pieces. The fully commercial metal shop has all the resources needed for our artists to create all our scenic needs. Also included is a full carpentry shop, 3-D modeling computer workstations, foam cutting and carving station featuring laser engraving capabilities, full paint shop, modern welding machinery, full vinyl fabrication equipment and UL certified sign shop.

We are inviting you to apply for our Director of Manufacturingposition. In this position, you would oversee the production schedule for all theming projects. The team is involved with the entire design/build process from research, ideation, concepting, creating to fabrication, construction, and installation. You would be a strong partner of the Art & Creative Director. You would be the authority on presenting and updating statuses with ownership and the executive team so that high-quality work is delivered on time and on budget; develop presentation approaches, styles and techniques for the team, and establish department standards for planning, production, productivity and quality.Often, updates and changes are made to the schedule and priorities can be shifted.

There is a core team of 10 individuals, that can swell to 25 during periods of new resort openings.the art department by hiring, training, assigning, scheduling, and mentoring staff; collaborate the Owner, Development, and company executive team

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions currently has four operating properties making up approximately 6 million total square feet of facilities currently under management. These properties are spread out at locations across the country with plans for continued growth and development. The person in the Development Construction Project Manager position will be based out of our Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin headquarters location but must be willing to travel at least 25% of their time.

Our Theme Shop is designed to allow our artists to flourish in a collaborative, creative, and comfortable environment. Several elaborate and large-scale sculptures and installation art pieces are created every year, with hundreds of other projects completed. The Kalahari Theme Shop is where we imagine the impossible, then bring it to life.

With this position, we do ask for a background consisting of five years of construction management background with muti-materials, scheduling, budgeting, and supervisory experience. Working with a private company with an involved ownership would be preferred. Previously working with art is not required, although helpful.
