GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Director of People and Culture (SDPC) will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This position will be responsible for leading the vision, strategy, development and execution of organization effectiveness, talent acquisition, and culture management initiatives focused on delivering business results. In addition to interacting heavily and partnering with others on the Executive Leadership Team, the SDPC will have broad responsibility to ensure the development and advancement of an empowered, inclusive, and results-driven workplace culture, and proactively address and forecast future culture needs, including the execution plans to achieve those initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a proven leader who can support both high level organization and business responsibilities and also dive into the details, when necessary, on a daily basis.
- Administers/oversees the company’s people-focused programs including, but not limited to, staffing/organizational structure, compensation, disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and, learning and development, serving as a key advisor to the CEO on each.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to talent acquisition, recruiting and retention.
- Continuously reviews and makes recommendations for improvement of the company’s organizational structure to ensure proper alignment with current and future growth strategies.
- Continuously review the company’s incentive compensation plans to ensure they both align with organizational goals and objectives, but also provide proper motivation and drive results.
- Conducts regular research and stays abreast of emerging organization trends including the review and presentation of metrics/KPIs from the company’s HRIS and/or talent management system.
- Meet/exceed annual performance targets minimally related to time to hire, retention, team member NPS, and effectiveness of new team member onboarding and other key training initiatives.
- Develops, direct and monitors strategies focused on a healthy workplace culture, including programs and initiatives related to team member communications and engagement.
- Work in partnership with corporate functions at Stride (specifically, HR and Compliance) as needed to support regular review and resolution of any key issues impacting the overall results of Stride, Inc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field is required; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience in roles of increasing responsibility in human resource management, size, and scope in organizations that have experienced rapid growth and scaled successfully.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred, but not required.
- Strong project management skills and prior oversight executing on large-scale company and strategic priorities primarily focused on human resource management and organizational development
- Proven track record in successfully hiring, mentoring, and building great teams.
- Prior experience and understanding in how to operate within regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and influencing skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with MS-Office suite or related software
- Strong ethics – has a high personal and professional ethical standard and fosters a diverse and respectful workplace.
- Ability to interface at all levels of the organization and a demonstrated commitment to internal and external customer service.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is fully remote, work-from-home. This is a remote position in which work will be completed during normal business hours (approximately 8:30am – 5:00pm EST) Monday through Friday, with some weekends and/or evenings required. Some domestic travel may be required, including some overnight.
