Summary:

The Director of Treasury Management plays a vital role in meeting our business clients’ treasury management needs. The Director of TM is responsible for the overall strategy for TM product sales while collaborating with others to ensure appropriate marketing and service. The Director of TM contributes to our business success by growing treasury management fee income across all Commercial Banking lines of business, providing TM products through our Retail network, and sourcing and selling to new and existing treasury management clients. A successful Director of TM will ensure that we have a TM product set responsive to various Clients’ needs, inspire a TM sales team to expand our reach; and ensure that TM support is providing fast, easy, and personal service.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Leads and directs the Treasury Management team to build our TM product set to be a strong business line that meets the needs of our business clients.
  • Partners with Commercial Banking, Business Banking to identify prospect/client needs and participate in various aspects of client management, including in-person meetings, calling via conference call, and relationship reviews for clients with fundamental cash management needs.
  • Partners with Retail to provide a TM product set tailored to small business clients and to train Retail Bankers to identify TM needs with prospects and clients.
  • Identifies, recommends, builds, and communicates initiatives, new products, new procedures, and other client experience enhancements and leads the communication and execution of those with the Commercial Banking and Business Banking Officers in the most effective and efficient manner available.
  • Manages a personal book of business to deepen existing relationships through proactive identification of integrated solutions to unmet client needs. Proactively develops business through own calling efforts, actively calling on business prospects to offer bank products and services. Travels to markets to conduct in-person client calls as needed. Develops and maintains relationships with Centers of Influence (COI’s) within the community. Actively engages in community through board positions, volunteer work, event attendance and the like.
  • Develops and uses metrics, KPIs, and SLAs to manage TM business and to report TM’s contributions to other senior leaders, including periodic board reporting. Maximizes timely use of CRM to maintain an active and accurate pipeline of treasury management and depository business.
  • TM subject matter expert for the Bank; acts ad lead for TM with respect to bank’s implementation of new products, platforms, or processes.
  • Works with treasury sales support teams and traditional retail banking teams to ensure needs of TM clients are met. Upon completion of set ups, conducts ongoing follow up with bankers or clients to ensure needs are being met, communicates with and directs respective service teams, reports back to bankers on results and on any client needs identified during servicing. Act with sense of urgency to respond to client and partner requests to maximize trusted advisor status.
  • Directly supervises TM team, including hiring, developing, motivating, inspiring, and where appropriate initiating discipline or terminations in partnership with HR.
  • Leads team in achieving annual business unit initiatives, including established financial goals and growth of TM business.
  • Develops and oversees referral and servicing programs in collaboration with key stakeholders and teams.
  • Partners with and oversees vendors who furnish services related to treasury management.
  • Ensures an engaging and positive client experience and effective problem resolution.
  • Understands, communicates, and instills corporate initiatives and vision including our Six Pillars of Success, vision, and mission.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance required, working at the work site during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.
