The FinTech Industry Practice Lead is responsible for advising existing and prospective customers (challenger banks, payment processors, crypto, lending, wealth-tech, CRETech, InsureTech software and analytics, and other fintech companies) on best practices and technical expertise in fintech ecosystems, blockchain and chain-based compliance, smart contract platforms, operational efficiency, risk management, and regulation. The Industry Practice Lead in FinTech will work with relationship managers, product teams and domain specialists to address customers’ use cases and facilitate solution architecture leveraging Moody’s Analytics risk solutions suite.

Specifically, there are four areas of activities the FinTech Industry Practice Lead will be engaged in:

  • Driving sales and customer engagement: design market outreach strategy (with sales, marketing and product management teams); serve as a trusted advisor to customers; proactively work with prospective clients through the sales process, providing technical assistance and guidance as required; respond to functional and technical queries of RFIs and RFPs; qualify and lead the Proof of Concept (POC) process in the sales cycle.

  • Industry engagement & thought leadership: develop and maintain industry stakeholder relationships; speak at industry events; publish thought leadership; maintain social media engagement. Demonstrate credibility and thought leadership in financial services disruption and innovation

  • Market feedback for product development: translate emerging market themes and regulatory requirements into product requirements to future proof our solutions; identify valuable white space; build business case for product development and improvement.

  • Internal education: conduct training sessions on customer use cases, our solution set and emerging trends; serve as an informal coach and expert to product consultants, sales professionals and customer success teams.

  • Extensive knowledge of fintech market and its challenges, including high growth targets, pressure on tech and risk management

  • Extensive experience with current technologies, including blockchain

  • Significant experience in risk management, reg reporting, and KYC

  • Strong foundation in financial services and tech

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field preferred

  • 15+ years of experience working in financial sector (including at FinTech related to capital markets, lending, digital assets)

  • Ability to interact with Senior level stakeholders

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Travel within region required, up to 50%

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $131,500 to $218,600, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
