Description:

The Director, Thoracic Business Excellence is responsible for supporting the business to drive collaboration, cross-functional clarity and alignment on projects, initiatives, and operations.

This is an exempt position reports to the Vice President, Thoracic Business Unit and is a remote based position but there will be times that require intermittant travel for internal meetings in at one of our offices in the Northeast.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and present proposals and recommendations on business needs; lead discussions on how to determine and prioritize strategic priorities; responsible for creation and tracking of analytics to support the sales and marketing teams
  • Gather, analyze and synthesize information on topics as requested by the leadership team
  • Project manage and support department process improvement and initiatives
  • Prepare strategic communications utilizing a clear understanding of the business strategy and issues; develop and maintain consistent, relevant content for use in executive level communications and to support/lead projects to further organizational goals
  • Execute all business operations needs to include data analytics, monitoring and reporting to deliver market analyses, IC, field force sizing, customer targeting to the commercial team

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Experience designing and deploying a personalization engine to guide customer interactions
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to executive audience
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills working cross-functionally in a team environment
  • Passionate about applying data analytics to optimize customer experience
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to apply data and research methods
  • Strong advanced analytical and quantitative acumen, including modeling, segmentation, experiment design, and statistical methods
  • Experience planning, understanding, and synthesizing research from a variety of sources, including market research, syndicated data, and operational data
  • Advanced skills in deriving insights from data, such as uncovering opportunities and challenges, behavioral drivers, and trends and synthesizing quantitative data with customer insights and experience across markets
  • Strong independent drive to deliver significant strategic impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Advanced skills in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, programming and statistical modeling software (e.g. python, R, SAS), and enterprise business intelligence tools required
  • 5+ years' experience in an analytic role with a track record of increasing responsibilities required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Degree in quantitative discipline, such as mathematics, statistics, data science, epidemiology, business analytics preferred
  • 2+ years of strategy/ops experience preferred

OTHER:

  • Travel to other Novocure domestic and international locations as needed (20%)
