Rudy’s Corporate Dining is a local artisan food service provider to some of Metro Detroit’s fastest growing companies. We pride ourselves on serving delicious food with excellent service to over 6,000 customers daily. We currently have operations at United Wholesale Mortgage HQ in Pontiac and HAP/HFHS and Flagstar Bank in Troy. A benefit of working for us is that we operate Monday through Friday with limited weekend shifts and limited evenings.

Job Overview:

The dishwasher works as part of the team to provide excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and inviting environment. This position requires open availability. Shifts are typically M-F 9-5pm. Occasional evening and weekend shifts are available. All items are kitchen instruments such as pots, pans, baking sheets, etc.

- Clean dishes properly following wash, rinse and sanitize process. Air dry and restock items to the appropriate locations in the kitchen
- Assist in kitchen cleaning programs ensuring all designated machinery is maintained
- General housekeeping
- Maintain dish washing area
- Respond promptly to customer needs, requests for service and/or assistance
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality
- Meet productivity standards and complete work within a timely manner
- Observes safety and security procedure; report potentially unsafe conditions; use chemicals and equipment properly
- Report any equipment problems to maintenance and supervisor immediately

Required Skills and Experience:
- 1-2 Years janitorial/kitchen experience is preferred but not required
- High School diploma is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Must maintain a positive can-do attitude
- Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities
- Results driven, focus and ability to work through to completion in a timely manner
- Adaptable to change
- High level of flexibility regarding overtime during busy periods as required by the business
- Must have reliable transportation

Job Duties:
- Operate an industrial dishwasher, washing dishes and glassware by hand when necessary
- Carry out basic cleaning tasks around the premises, including emptying trash cans, cleaning drink machines, and cleaning any spills and broken glass immediately
- Assist cooks and servers as needed, especially during peak hours
- Report any serious incidents to upper management, such as machine failure or broken facilities
- Other duties as requested
