Part Time Dishwasher

JOB SUMMARY

The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates dish washing machine to wash dishes, glasses, cups, trays, silverware, and food service equipment.
• Sets up and cleans dish washing machine area and refills required chemicals as necessary.
• Stores clean equipment and utensils.
• Assists in maintaining sanitary conditions for food prep and service.
• Empties garbage in dumpster.
• Sweeps and mops floors.
• May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and staffing.
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years old
• Able to read English and follow verbal instructions in English
• Previous experience preferred. Will train on the job
• Fundamental understanding of sanitation and cleanliness
• Food handler’s card required within 30 days of hire
• Dependable attendance
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the ability to bend, squat, stoop, climb, kneel, and stand on feet for extended periods of time, as well as the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Working conditions involve noise, heat, changes in temperature, kitchen elements, odors, moisture, etc.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Job offer is contingent on the following:

• Must pass background check
• Must pass drug test, pre-employment physical and TB test

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
