The District Manager is responsible for directing and supervising activities within assigned group of stores to maximize sales and profits. The District Manager will oversee all stores to ensure they are providing guest service that meets or exceeds standards and maintain high standards of store image of clean, well stocked, and ready for business. They will support and enforce all company policies. Provide coaching and developing of employees for growth and promotion. Maintain working relationships by setting examples, positive feedback, encouragement and constructive criticism.

- Achieving financial results to budget in all assigned retail locations.
- Maintaining health, safety and sanitation standards in accordance to Federal, State and Local codes in assigned stores.
- Responsible for maintaining full management staff in store locations.
- Identifying and cultivating future management candidates within the district.
- Controlling cash and bad check losses by preforming office counts and check audits.
- Driving merchandising plans in each location to improve sales and brand image.
- Accountable for high sense of urgency to react to changes and ensure follow through.
- Gives input on budgeting of sales, labor and GP.
- Responsible for Labor and Production standards- Measured by SPMH and Budgeted Payroll %.
- Ensure all departments follow and support ads, merchandising programs and contest.
- Inspect price changes, new items, discontinued, cleaning, rotation, date checks weekly, provide info on any product close dated or out of date.
- Work closely with Product Supervisors in their assigned departments to improve departmental operations and results.
- Measures results in all areas and develops action plans to improve to desired results.
- Responsible for clear communication channels to upper management and retail locations through verbal and written communications.
DIMENSIONS:
P&L responsibility for up to 20+ stores.
Up to 20+ Store Manager direct reports.
Responsible for achieving assigned district budgeted sales numbers.
Responsible for achieving assigned district budgeted Net Profit/EBITDA numbers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years management experience and thorough knowledge in grocery retail. Multi-unit experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and decision making skills.
- Ability to promote, manage and drive growth.
- Excellent customer relationship skills.
- Ability to hire, coach, train and promote associates in the organization.
