Title: District Technical Assistant
Reports to: Director of Technology
Working Days: 260
Status: non-exempt
Job Objective:
Manages daily shipping and receiving of equipment, supplies and repairs. Responsible for conducting
themselves in an appropriate manner setting an example for students, parents and
coworkers by reflecting the Noblesville Schools Vision and Mission.
High school diploma or GED.
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules and corporation policies
- Meets all mandated health requirements
- Respects and observes the right of confidentiality
- Support corporation decisions and direction relative to matters of policy and administrative directives
Essential Functions:

- Actively support and participate in the district and community’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and
- Shipping and receiving of assets
o Returns equipment for warranty service
o Logging of equipment returned from repairs and sent back to buildings
- Repair and maintenance
o Arrange warranty exchanges with vendors
o Arrange pick-up and return with local repair vendors
o Orders and maintains inventory of consumables (toner, batteries, bulbs, etc.)
o Places orders in RDS as directed by department
- Investigate and resolve trouble tickets assigned from the District Help Desk Ticketing System, phone
o Computer hardware and software
o iOS devices and apps
o Printers
o Network connectivity
o A/V equipment
- Assist with the cleaning, maintenance, disposal, and repair of district-owned technology
- Investigate and resolve Educational Service Center, Transportation and Maintenance facility HelpDesk

o A/V equipment and set-up
o District Software Systems
- Assist with inventorying and deploying district owned technology and A/V equipment
- Assist in iPad management and deployments K-12
- Maintains a professional appearance. Wears work attire appropriate for the position.
- Performs other specific job-related duties as directed.
