Job description

We are looking for seasonal (April - October) part-time dockhands. Dockhands are responsible for the safe mooring of boats and general operations of the docks by facilitating and assisting in coordinating the arrival and departure of boats. Also required to assist with rentals as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists members and customers load and unload belongings to and from vessels.
• Ensures docks, equipment, and facilities are clean, safe, and operational at all times.
• Operates and pumps fuel in a safe and cautious manner.
• Communicates by radio with staff on vessels being launched or returned.
• Pumps out vessels safely.
• Assist members with requests such as ice and fuel.
• Assists with loading and unloading of rentals (canoe/kayak/sup)
• Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills is needed.
• Proven to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a high performance team environment.

Working Conditions :

• Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
• Frequent standing, lifting, and bending. Will regularly lift and/or move up to 45 lbs.
• Must be able to use a hand held radio.
• Must be willing to work opening/closing shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
