Professional Pet Groomer:
A pet enthusiast who demonstrates a precise, detailed and caring approach to grooming dogs while providing an exceptional level of service for the customer and their pet.
Nature's Pet Market West Linn is looking for a professional pet groomer for our grooming spa. The spa is currently set up as a single groomer salon with all equipment needed (minus personal sheers). Our current groomer is retiring and is leaving a full schedule of clients for the next candidate to take over starting on May 1st. This is your chance to take over a salon with a thriving clientele base and a proven track record of exceptional quality customer service. Organized and thorough
Experience:
You have a minimum of 2 years of professional level grooming
You have a high school diploma or GED. Some level of certification in grooming is not required but ideal.
You have experience working in a fast-paced environment
You have experience managing multiple tasks at once
You are an excellent time manager
Education:
Grooming animals to company standards
Grooming animals to clients expectations
Brush teeth, trim nails, express anal glands
Maintain an upbeat attitude
Calming anxious animals
Ensure company policies are being followed
Communicate effectively with clients to find out what they need
Create a welcoming environment for animals and their owners
Maintaining and adhering to all company safety guidelines
Promote follow-up appointments & schedule appointments
Communicate with customers and other staff members in thorough manner
Build rapport/relationships with customers
Maintain clean working environment
Make product recommendations and additional care recommendations to clients as needed and for the benefit of the company
Additional Qualifications and Expectations:
Ability to lift large 50+ lbs dogs
Calming presence to soothe dogs
Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
Great communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
