Maximus Building Supply, established in 1984, is a family owned, faith-based organization that supplies lumber, doors, windows and supplies for new home construction, DIY projects and remodels. From our 4 locations we serve the Metro Memphis area, North/Central MS, limited areas of Alabama, Arkansas, and Kentucky.

Attention Handyman, Maintenance, Day Laborer, Construction, Apprentice, Woodcrafter: Maximus Building Supply - is currently seeking Door Assemblers/Door Builders for its Olive Branch, MS location.

Schedule: 7am to 5pm, Mon-Fri (OT if applicable)

Ideal candidate is an experienced Door Assembler, Handyman, Day Laborer, Construction Worker/Apprentice, Woodcrafter.

Essential Duties:

• Building and customizing interior/exterior doors (cutting, screwing, stapling, nailing, gluing, caulking and assembling of doors)
• Screwing hinges to doors
• Attaching thresholds
• Performing regular inspections, routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Maintaining a clean work area
• Observing all safety rules
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Skills & Requirements:

• High School Grad or GED preferred, and age 18 years or older
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills
• Willing to take direction and work in a team environment
• Ability to read a tape measure and use basic tools (hammer, screwdriver)
• Knowledge of power tools and their use (electric saw)
• Reliable transportation
• Excellent attendance, including being on time
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and pass random drug screens after hire

Physical Demands:

• Duties are performed in a warehouse with potential for extreme heat and cold temperatures
• Manual lifting (100 lbs), bending, stooping
• Standing on feet 8-10+ hours daily
• Exposure to loud noises

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
