Job description
This position provides residents a sense of freedom by taking them to the doctor. The holder may also participate in social outings, such as meals at restaurants, scenic drives and other events.
Essential Responsibility
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all residents, resident family members, and associates.
- Maintain a high degree of resident, family and guest satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of high-quality services.
- Effectively and appropriately communicate with each co-worker and community leader.
- Maintain a positive image with the community.
- Maintain an atmosphere of stability.
- Respond to residents’ and family members’ questions and concerns and share important information with the executive director or business office director as is appropriate.
- Maintain a clean and safe bus or other community vehicle.
- Maintain a log of travels.
- Observes all federal, state, and city speed regulations and safety regulations as well as company customer service and safety policies.
- Strong knowledge of the property-specific metropolitan area.
- Provide a coordinated and efficient transportation program for community residents.
- Ensures the on-time arrival and departure of residents to their scheduled appointments and other scheduled events.
- Participates in the planning and scheduling of resident transportation.
- Assists in various projects that pertain to onsite operations from time to time.
- Maintains a clean and professional appearance while at the community as well as when away from the community.
- Provides input as to how the transportation needs of the residents can be better met.
- Immediately report and/or address any unsafe conditions or equipment problems.
- Continuously maintain knowledge of the policy and procedures of Lloyd Jones Senior Living.
- Effectively and appropriately communicate with each co-worker and community leader.
- Actively participate in correcting deficiencies identified during internal and external surveys.
- Immediately report any workplace injuries immediately to your direct supervisor.
- Attend all in-services, training, staff meetings, and department meetings.
- Complete and adhere to all other tasks and responsibilities set by the direct supervisor.
Level of Education
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Technical or Professional License(s)/Certification(s)
Drivers License in the state of operation
Level of Experience
At least 10 years of driving experience. Have an maintain acceptable driving record per company policy.
Technical Skills
Ability to effectively communicate in an appropriate manner with all guests and residents.
