Description

We are seeking a Clinical/Medical Technologist 2 at Western State Hospital Laboratory. In this roll you will be responsible for phlebotomy, patient testing, and all necessary tasks to keep the laboratory functioning as a College of American Pathologists accredited facility. We value teamwork and dependability.

Some of what you will be doing


  • Perform patient testing in all areas of the laboratory; hematology, chemistry, immunology, and urinalysis
  • Perform microscopic examination of blood smears and urine sediments
  • Perform Phlebotomy
  • Review lab reports completed by other laboratory professionals.
  • Ensure analyzers are functioning properly and perform maintenances.
  • Check off Billings (CPT) codes for the tests performed/completed daily.
Who we are looking for
  • Professional with a bachelor’s degree in medical technology or equivalent BS field.
  • And a certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP MT, MLT, or MLS) or equivalent (e.g., American Medical Technologists, NCA Certified Laboratory Professional
  • And a valid WA State Dept. of Health Medical Assistant Phlebotomist certification
