Job description

NYS licensed childcare center seeks reliable, nurturing, and energetic teachers for established Early Head Start (18-36 months) and PreK (3-5 years) programs.

Hourly position, 30-40 hours per week, eligible for overtime. Exact schedule may vary from week to week but will be between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday through Friday.

Required qualifications:

a) 9 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field and two years experience caring for children. Candidates at this level of experience must have a plan to study for a Childhood Development Associate (CDA) Credential or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or Child Development.

OR

b) Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for the appropriate age group and one year experience caring for children

OR

c) Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or Child Development or related field.

Must have or be willing to obtain:
*Medical Clearance
*Full vaccination against COVID-19
*NYS background check (including fingerprinting)
*Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid training
*References: one employment, two personal non-family.

Wages:
For qualification level a): $19 / hour.
For qualification level b) or c): $20 / hour.

Financial assistance available for successful candidates at qualification level a) to complete CDA and earn promotion and pay increase (terms and conditions apply).
