Summary
Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Administrator to join our rail team in San Mateo, California. As a member of the EHS team, you will be responsible for assisting the implementation of the company s safety and loss prevention programs. Maintaining records for jobsite employees and subcontractors for training in all safety programs and protocol, including federal/state regulations, to prevent accidents and/or injuries.
Essential Functions
- Assist with maintaining required employee/subcontractor personnel training records and all project safety documentation.
- Assist in the completion of OSHA Logs.
- Assist the project with employee and subcontractor project man-hour reports.
- Participates in company training programs and commits to self-development.
- Assist Project Safety Manager with document control for workman compensation cases, safety training, and/or other safety documentation.
- Create monthly All Hands Safety Meeting Attendance / Absence list.
- Collecting Incident Reports Forms and ESA sign-in sheets to submit via N Drive.
- Assist with safety report inspections – monthly completion checklist.
- Report Rule G observations to corporate.
- Performs additional assignments per supervisor direction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- 2 years of office administration experience is required; preferably in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of Worker s Compensation laws is preferred.
- Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) is required.
