Job Title: EHS Coordinator (Part/Time)
Pay Rate: $38 to 40/Hr
Duration: 12 Months (20 hours per week)
Location: Newton, MA

NOTE: Initially, this will be a part-time position but will evolve within the year to become full time at which point we may consider transitioning to permanent employment.

This position is for the Healthcare Diagnostics division.

We are looking for EHS Coordinator 2.

Responsibilities/tasks:

• Assist with the implementation of the EHS Management System programs and processes and interface with counterparts at other sites and with the corporate EHS team.
• Assist with the Site’s Hazardous and Biological Waste programs, including:RCRA Main and Satellite Area Waste pickups and inspections

Preparing waste for shipment to meet DOT requirements

• Conduct various pieces of training for all employees.
• Maintain EHS records including SDS, chemical inventory, inspections, and training.
• Maintain department supply inventory.
• Advise employees regarding EHS matters.
• Assist Operations and Facilities groups with EHS-related concerns.
• Perform other EHS duties as needed.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• BS Degree in the Sciences and/or a degree in an EHS-related field.
• Have 1-2 years of experience.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Have some knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
• Required certifications: RCRA, DOT, HAZWOPER (24-hour minimum, 40-hour preferred), 1st Aid/CPR/AED.
• Presentation/public speaking experience.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and recordkeeping skills.
• Approachable personality, willing to help people, and confident to intervene/provide feedback to employees regarding safe behaviors.
• Attention to detail.
• Have a good work ethic.
• Be willing to learn.
• Have both good written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
