NCH is established, yet growing and we are seeking a full time EHS & Facilities Supervisor to join Plumbing Products Group (PPG, Inc.), a subsidiary of NCH Corporation. This position will support our distribution team at our Dallas facility. The ideal EHS & Facilities Supervisor is analytical, detail-oriented, problem solver, and a team leader. Key Duties for the role:
- EHS Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all state, federal and local governmental regulations (includes written programs, record keeping, reports, inspections, monitoring, testing, and training).
Direct and deliver environmental safety and health training programs to ensure employee's knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety regulations pertaining to assigned facilities.
Manage EHS programs including cost control/reduction and accident prevention.
Lead incident investigation efforts (root cause analysis) to ensure the elimination of incidents and continuous improvement of the safety program.
Ensure all EHS issues identified during internal/external audit are resolved.
Develop, report and direct corrective actions and/or preventive action plans.
Develop and update written safety programs, guidelines, policies, etc., providing monthly training and other safety communications to employees.
Provide support to and work with Human Resources in the administration of Worker's Compensation and Return to Work/Modified Duty opportunities.
- Facility Responsibilities
Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements.
Conduct and document regular facility and EHS inspections, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
Assist with service contract reviews to ensure facility management needs are being met.
Assure security of the facility.
Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures.
Oversee Forklift maintenance program, including certification of all drivers.
Manage, coach and provide feedback to two direct reports.
Position Requirements:
- BS degree in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, or other related facility or scientific field, preferred
- 2-3 years of experience leading EHS programs
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing EHS such as OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations is essential.
- Experience in managing/handling compliance issues, manufacturing operations, regulatory reviews, permit preparation, reporting and record keeping.
- Working knowledge of lift trucks and ability to certify new drivers.
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certifications preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 5%
- Proficient user in Microsoft Office Suite and Inventory Management systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, training, analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systemsAssure the accuracy and compliance of all inbound product.
