Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer 3 to join our team at Electrification and Advanced Power Solutions. In this role, the Electrical Engineer 3 will design, develop, and test the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting. The candidate will also evaluate the cost effectiveness, reliability, and safety of certain design models, estimate time and cost to complete projects, and investigate and test vendors’ and competitors’ products.

Responsibilities:

• Create, modify, or apply simulation models using various tools (Matlab, spreadsheets)

• Create packaging layouts using Creo

• Analyze electrical systems for electrical component sizing

• Attend planning and review meetings for assigned projects

• Simulate and test machine/structure/system operation

• Investigate and test vendors’ and competitors’ products

• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required

• 5-7 years of experience in electrical engineering required

Skills Required

• Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations

• Ability to perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications

• Ability to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects

• Creative problem solving skills

• Verbal and written communication skills

• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills

• Basic leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback

• Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering field

This is a full-time on-site position based at our business center in Machine Systems & ePowetrain. The candidate selected will be a team player who can work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal teams.
