Job description

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector for Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area.

We are offering an opportunity to put your Power Distribution & Transmission experience to use while working in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

• Pull, rack, and secure high and low-voltage cables in manholes, conduit, tunnels, vaults, and other installations;
• Locate and repair electrical faults in underground network distribution systems, substations, and other distribution systems;
• Perform overhead and underground construction inspections of distribution power systems and ensure the quality of work;
• Promote safety consciousness and adherence to OSHA, utility, federal, state, and local safety regulations;
• Identifies and assists in the resolution of issues that could compromise the success of a project (technical, competence, and/or safety-related issues);
• Install, maintain, repair, and remove high and low-voltage conductors, transformers, network protectors, relays, switches, junction boxes, and related electrical equipment;
• Perform other duties of a comparable level/type as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman with safety inspection experience preferred;
• Fundamental understanding of OSHA regulations and HV/EHV electrical engineering transmission & distribution theories and principles;
• Solid understanding of the electrical codes and installation methods;
• Understanding of electrical construction design documents and ability to provide constructability feedback prior to and during construction;
• Electrical Licenses and/or Journeyman Lineman Certification is preferred;
• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule that includes travel.
