Job description
The Electrical Project Engineer applicant will specify material, offer design support, and manage the procurement of complex electronic test systems for a wide variety of industries. The Electrical Project Engineer applicant will perform a technical analysis of customer requirements, develop strategies to address requirements, manage/procure hardware for test systems, including custom PCBs, custom PDUs, custom Cables, and component specifications, and provide program management of projects through the entire order life cycle, including fabrication and delivery/installation. Time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of development, as well as multiple shared engineering resources (e.g., software, mechanical, controls, etc.), is critical.
Electrical Project Engineer Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple Electronic Test Equipment production builds with a high degree of detail and organization.
- Support Electronics Assembly Technicians in each phase of assembly.
- Project Management responsibilities include material cost budgets and production labor tracking for assigned projects.
- Project Post Mortem Analysis.
- Electronic hardware specification and material management for customer projects.
- Customer relationship development and support.
- Support project quoting department on estimating material and labor costs.
- Weekly production planning and scheduling activity for Electronics Technicians
- Handshaking between the internal design team and production operations.
- Generate project status reporting data to Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree holder. Desired Major(s) - AS/BS in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar field.
- Prefer 3+ years of experience.
- Project Management training is a plus.
