ELL Summer Program - Elementary and Middle School
Program Dates:
July 5 - July 27, 2023; Monday - Thursday
Program Staff Hours:
4.5 hours/day
Student Contact Hours:
4 hours/day

English Learners Summer Learning Program Overview:
The program offers English Learners (EL) an opportunity to sustain and enhance their English proficiency in the four domains of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. This program is held for current ELs in grades K-11; space priorities are given to those who scored at the lowest proficiency level on the English language proficiency assessment.
Required qualifications:
The selected candidate(s) must be endorsed in EL or Bilingual Education and commit to the entire duration of the program and training days.
Ability to develop and deliver lessons to EL at various language proficiency abilities among the
Emerging/Entering/Beginning levels. Bilingual abilities in Spanish, Russian/Ukrainian, Khmer, and Vietnamese preferred.
