JOB DESCRIPTION

This job will oversee the E-mail Marketing function, reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing. The primary goal of this role is to turn business objectives into marketing technology and data solutions to deliver on segment marketing campaigns. This role will also be responsible for email marketing campaign design, automation delivery, campaign tracking, testing, reporting, and optimization, and is the lead marketing manager for our e-mail marketing technology stack.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leads the Email Marketing team to deliver on segment campaign execution as part of our marketing campaign process: drives campaign execution from idea creation, deployment, scheduling, segmentation, production, automation, testing, and optimization.
  • Oversees the Email Marketing team and coaches and mentors this team to be a high-performing engine with a core focus on customer centricity and business outcomes, in service to stakeholders across the Enterprise.
  • Ensures campaigns and programs are set up for proper data tracking, reporting, and analysis. Develops and delivers campaign reporting and insights to stakeholders and internal teams. Drives continuous improvement across email KPIs (deliverability, open rates, click-to-open rates, conversion rates, opt-out rates, and revenue).
  • Owns the Marketing Automation Platform and overall strategy for email initiatives including lead processing, lead scoring, segmentation, database management, deliverability, and lead/campaign tracking.
  • Monitors and maintains data quality between Adobe Campaign and our source systems, working with the Marketing teams and Technology to append data as needed to improve campaign targeting. Troubleshoots issues as they arise related to data errors, system workflows, and platform inconsistencies. Identifies root causes and recommends solutions to ensure quality.
  • Contributes to the Marketing Technology roadmap. Evaluates and implements new technology capabilities to support our strategy and identifies, designs, and executes new processes that enable stakeholders to meet their business objectives.
  • Develops and manages our marketing database strategy in partnership with other functions, including data hygiene, data enrichment, segmentation, database analysis and acquisition.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years w/Bachelor's degree; 1+ years supervisory/management
  • 5+ years of experience with focus in email marketing operations, marketing automation or sales operations
  • Proficient in email marketing automation and CRM, with downstream operational experience required
  • People leader and management experience critical, with a strong emphasis on coaching and developing teams and talent
  • An operational thinker that understands campaign development and marketing data workflows in detail, with experience in project management
  • Demonstrated expertise in defining, implementing, and maintaining reports and analytics to track lead management, campaign program efficacy and related KPIs
  • Experience working with data analysis tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or other data/reporting tools desired
  • A strong collaborator and team player that can work well cross functionally and across many stakeholder groups
  • Experience managing and implementing MarTech and data solutions such as A/B testing platforms and marketing engagement tools
  • Detail oriented and can juggle multiple team projects simultaneously with minimal direction
  • Must be able to travel on a limited basis

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $74,000 - $170,900
